Scope of Works
Problem:
Due to a rapidly expanding print business, space was running out across two sites. They required additional office and welfare facilities. There was also the need to consolidate archive and WIP storage across the two sites.
Solution:
The factory and offices remained fully functional during all stages of the works and a phased handover of areas planned for weekends ensured minimum disruption to customer service and production.
There were various designs for office and works partitioning systems.
The use of solid, single and double-glazed fully demountable partitioning, some with integral blinds were used. Also works were carried out to provide suspended ceilings, fire protection, floor coverings, electrics and air conditioning.
New and refurbished cloakrooms, changing facilities, canteen and toilets were provided These areas were built primarily using the same materials as the offices, with the inclusion of some modular and double skin steel partitioning, canteen table and chairs and vinyl floor coverings.
We were also responsible for various building works including double glazed windows. We coordinated all necessary actions with the fire officer and building control. All works also in compliance with the required CDM regulations.
