Project:

Following a recent major new build programme, various departments in the school were relocated. Vacant space created an opportunity to bring together the fragmented sections and to consolidate departments. For all other areas that were in need of refurbishment, we programmed for works to be carried outside of school time and during the main school holiday breaks.

Result:

We were awarded this project a competitive tender bid by demonstrating that we could provide the right solutions working to a tight time scale and ensuring we worked within budget and delivering to a high level of finish.

The school typically closed at the end of July for its 6-week summer vacation. The scope of works included refurbishing the 6th Form building, Maths Department, Drama Room, Staff Room, Computer Rooms and English classrooms. We coordinated trades to provide full internal decoration, the laying of new carpet and floor coverings to all common areas within the 6th Form Building and the main atrium.

The new Maths Department was completely refurbished this included the installation of new ceilings, lighting and small power, plastering, and the laying of new carpets and vinyl floor coverings we also fitted computer benches and notice boards to perimeter walls with window openings being fitted with vertical blinds throughout.
